Friday, May 19

Highlights:

  • Today in Math, we continued working on angles. We did an art project where we had to measure different angles using a protractor.
  • In PE, we did Freedom Frenzy to end our week!
  • During Science, we reviewed the expectations for the field trip. We also talked about what a predator and prey are. Finally we discussed how some animals have adaptations that protect them. Ask me what is an example.
  • In Field Study, we started off by having some time to play outside! We were very excited to be outside after having to stay in for most of the week. After, we explored some of the different animals and their habitats.  We can't wait to see some of them at the zoo!

Reminders:

  • There is no school on Monday. Have a wonderful long weekend!
  • On Tuesday, we will be going on our field trip to the zoo. Below are some reminders:
    • We will be boarding the bus at 9:15am, it is important that students are on time for school.
    • Students need to bring a litterless lunch, a water bottle, and a backpack that can fit a clipboard.
    • Please ensure that your child is dressed for the weather and wearing comfortable shoes.
    • Please remind your child about field trip expectations and appropriate behaviour on the bus and when at the zoo.
