Highlights
- This morning we started our day with Literacy. Since it was take me outside day, we went outside to do our 4 sketches. We went to a variety of spaces around the school property and chose to draw one thing from those areas. Ask me one interesting thing I saw.
- For math we continued to practice identifying the place value of a number in larger numbers. We also worked on our problem solving practice by completing a three act task. Ask me how we figured out how many woppers were in the jar. Was my estimate too big or too small. To finish up we finished our math activity outside.
- This afternoon we learned a new song in music. Ask me if I can sing you any parts of it, o show you the hand movements.
- To finish the day we talked about qualities of a rock, and other rock vocabulary.
Reminders
- All grade 3's need to have a jacket with them when they come to school. We often have outside activities planned, or the weather can change suddenly and unexpectedly.
- We are being asked to bring 5 rocks to school. If they are special please put them in a Ziploc bag with your name on it
