Friday, Oct. 21

Highlights:

  • Today we started our day with Maker Space. We read a story called The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes. We discussed the important lesson in the story and how it can connect to the learning and work we do in Maker Space.
  • For Literacy, we read a story called You Will Be My Friend! In the story we talked about how authors and illustrators show different perspectives. We also wrote steps on how to make a friend. Ask me how my steps were different from the main characters.

  • During PE, we continued to playing half court basketball games.
  • In Math, we started with a quick how many ways can you show a number. We also reviewed the place value of numbers.

  • In Art, we continued to work on our fall leaf art. We drew different types of leaves, outlined them in sharpie. After, we talked about the warm and cool colours. We choose cool colours for our background. Ask me what cool colours I have chosen.

Reminders:

  • Read my Shirt Day is on Oct. 24. Students are invited to wear a shirt to school that has words on it for others to read.
