Highlights:
- Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day. Many of our learning activities connected to this important day.
- For Math, we learned about the turtle calendar and how some Indigenous use this to count the days. Ask me how the calendar works.
- In Literacy, we listened to an oral story called the Mouse and the Buffalo Skeleton. Ask me what the story was about and one of the important lessons that we learned.
- In PE, we played a variety of Indigenous games. Ask me which was my favourite. \
- This afternoon in Art, we did Metis inspired dot art! Ask me what natural item I chose to paint.
Reminders:
- Play Day is on Friday with a western theme.
- Students are reminded to dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.
- Students may bring sunscreen but we are not able to help them apply it.
- We will be providing freezies at the end. If you DO NOT want your child to have one please email us and send an alternative snack for them to enjoy
