Highlights:

• In Math, we are starting to learn about multiplication. We practiced drawing pictures to help us solve equations.

• In Literacy, we are learning new stations for our reading group rotations. Mrs. Docherty showed us a new writing centre where we will be making books! We also practiced read to self and read to someone. We reviewed the expectations for both and also added new elements. Ask me what my book will be about!

• For Music, we are starting to learn about the orchestra. We learned about the different instrument families and examples of instruments in each group. Ask me what are some of the instrument families.
• In Science, we learned about how sign language and how some people use this as a form of communication. Ask me to show you some of the letters and phrases we learned.

Reminders:

• Parent Teacher conferences are on Thursday and Friday. We are hoping to have all families attend. Please book a time if you have not done so already.
