Highlights:
- This morning in Math, we worked on ordering numbers on a number line. We also practiced ordering sets of numbers from least to greatest and vice versa. Ask me to order the following numbers: 45, 430, 17, 403, 106
- For Literacy, we learned about how readers use prior knowledge to help make predictions about the text they read. This helps us understand books better. We read a story called Bunny's Book Club. Ask me if my prediction at the start was correct.
- In PE, we started our new unit on floor hockey. We practiced stick handling and played a game called Pirate. Ask me why it is important to keep our eyes up when stick handling.
- In Music, we are working on learning songs for Remembrance Day. We also practiced singing O Canada in both English and French. For many of us it was the first time we ever heard the anthem in French! We ended our class singing one of our favourite songs. Ask me to sing a few lines to you.
Reminders:
- With the snowy weather we had it was a ton of fun being able to build and play in it. Students are reminded to dress appropriately and bring their winter gear that will keep them warm!
- Today at 7:00pm is the final day to be able to order NLS hoodies and t-shirts. Please refer to the sheet that was sent home yesterday for further information on how to order.
